Camp Bores: Lathrop State Park

Back again! Here we are on the first night of our week long camping adventure this year. It's the third year we've prepped our house on wheels for a week long trip. The first year we visited Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Last year we took off to Moab and visited Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. And this year we're off to Durango, Mesa Verde National Park, and Grand Mesa.

We only drove a few hours today and landed ourselves in Lathrop State Park (campsite #96) for one quick sleepover. It's a nice little place, that has a lake, a good view (when it's not cloudy) of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, a few human showers that only cost $0.50 per wash, an ampitheatre, too many bugs, thistles that keep getting stuck in Monty's hair (I've already cut several out), ridiculously large beetles that geek me out, and a bunch of kids on bicycles.

We're feeling lazy and plan to make some hot tuna sandwiches, drink a beverage or two and lay in bed. #livelycampers

Ps. We finally started listening to the Serial podcast (I am about 8 months late from the rest of America), to keep me from driving my husband insane on our drive today. Who's guilty? We think Jay is full of sh!t. That is all.
